A Music Market in Hoboken

Musician, teacher and activist Jennifer Lampert wants to help local musicians by offering them a new place to sell their music.

A Music Market in Hoboken

There are good reasons why Jennifer Lampert was recently nominated for a 2010 Hoboken Music Award in the Outstanding Scene Contributor category. She constantly works as a teacher and promoter to find new ways to help local musicians thru her school and studio in Hoboken called A Music Space.

Her latest project will give musicians a chance to sell their music to a sector of the public that they may have never reached otherwise. Jennifer has created A Music Market as part of the annual Hoboken Holiday Craft Fair.

The idea is really very simple. Each year the city sponsored craft fair attracts many people searching for crafts and other items to give as holiday gifts. Jennifer will be adding a space for CDs as well as live performances. She describes it as an interactive local music store with plans to travel to different events.

A Music Market will be held at the Hoboken Holiday Craft Fair at The Monroe Center (720 Monroe St, Hoboken) on December 4th, 5th, 18th and 19th from 11:00am-5:00pm.

Information for Musicians:
If you would like your CDs sold at A Music Market, here’s how it works. The cost per artist is only $25 for both weekends or $15 for one weekend (unlimited albums per artist). You simply supply 10-20 CDs and the price you want them sold at. Be sure to let Jennifer know your availability if you’d like to perform.
