I woke up today looking forward to a pleasant Saturday thanks to the weather reports last night. "Plenty of sunshine," they all said. Yet I looked outside and saw nothing but gray skies.

New Glasses
Skipping the hipster and going for comfort
I have these old glasses that were ready to be replaced about two years ago. The lenses were so scratched that driving at night was like living in a kaleidoscope. This may be fun when you're tripping, but not so much when you just want to get home.

Very Sad News
Saying goodbye to my fine, furry friend
It brings me great sadness to tell you all that my dear cat Linus of nearly 13 years had to be put to sleep earlier today. He began to get sick last week and on Saturday was in very bad shape. He hadn't been eating and had shed way too much weight. Today it was discovered that his kidneys had failed him. His age combined with a slight heart murmur forced me to make that difficult decision no one ever wants to make.
