Thirty Day Sobriety Challenge - Day 18
Watch as my life spirals into control
Today I noticed that more and more people keep saying things like, "If you were drinking I'd suggest we go here, but since you're not we'll go to this other place instead." I don't know whether to find it amusing or insulting. Are they saying I was more fun when I was drunk?
Well OK I do have to admit to being a very happy drunk. So I guess that would make me fun. Maybe it shouldn't seem so weird that people think of me that way. The other thing I get is, "Oh good you can drink that night because it's after Day 30." It's amusing really.
Tonight at dinner I had two, yes two Shirley Temples. I was out having dinner with my friend Joy. She ordered the first one as a bit of a joke. The second was just a refill from the waitress who I think was getting a good giggle out of it too.
Now I'm off to meet Lisa at Lua for just a little while. She needed to get out so I told her I'd meet her for a bit. LAter I'll write about seeing The Fixx at BB Kings last night. Let me just say this for now … THEY ROCKED!
