Jerry Bruckheimer Finds The Lost Girls

Bruckheimer TV and Warner Bros TV have struck a deal with ABC to produce a pilot based on the book ‘The Lost Girls’

In another stroke of good fortune for my dear friends Amanda Pressner, Holly C. Corbett and Jennifer Baggett, Jerry Bruckheimer and Warner Bros TV have struck a deal with ABC to produce a pilot based on the book ‘The Lost Girls’ to air next fall.

According to a recent article in Variety, “The project is a departure from the hard-boiled procedural fare typically associated with Bruckheimer TV.” I have to admit that I’m a little disappointed. I was hoping the show would be about three gorgeous forensic investigators trekking around the globe and solving crime.

Then again, who knows. After all, Ildy Modrovich — who has worked on CSI Miami — will be penning the adaptation. I can hear Roger Daltry screaming over the opening credits now.

If you’re somehow not familiar with The Lost Girls, then you haven’t been paying attention to my ongoing praise. And if that is the case, I’m hurt, but I know you’re busy. So here’s a short video from their publisher HarperCollins:

I met Holly just before the trip began and then met Amanda and Jennifer upon their return. So, I feel lucky to be caught up in their waves of success. I live vicariously thru them as I prepare my adventure (whatever that may be).

With each step up they take in their lives, I smile a little more.
