Perched high above Times Square, there is no denying the voyeuristic
qualities of this room. Surrounded by apartments and offices,
the fetish of watching people that don't know they're being
watched is well fed.
One also gets to enjoy the plastic and neon obscenities of
NY from a safe distance. Let the tourists deal with the bustle
while you drift into the muted grays, subtle splashes of color
and perfect martinis.
They serve up a nice mix of music as well. Music that is
at a volume that saves the throat from yelling.
This is also one of very few rooms to not be adversely affected
by the new smoking ban in NYC. It's roof top terrace is perfect
for the discriminated smoking community.
The beautiful and friendly staff, from the bartenders to
the bus boys, is a nice change from the NYC norm of rude is
fashionable.
I highly recommend this room for parties, after work cocktails
or a romantic night out.
