If you don’t get it locally, you just don’t get it.

The Hoboken Farmers Market returns for its 12th season at Washington & Newark Streets. Running from June 24, 2008 through October, the market continues it’s tradition of selling locally produced … um … produce.

Managed by my friend–musician and hippie rabble-rouser (and I mean that in only the best way)–David Calamoneri, the market was touting ‘green’ living long before it was even called ‘green’ living. By featuring local farmers, bakers and such, the market offers an alternative to wasteful supermarket practices.

As David says in his email announcing the new season, “If you don’t get it locally, you just don’t get it.” And even if you’re not all that up on environmental issues, you can still enjoy the health benefits of eating fresh, organic foods.
