It is true what they say; the children are our future. A 4th-grader from Hoboken, NJ (T. Anderson) has grown increasingly concerned about the situation in the gulf of Mexico. Upon reading about how the oil spill is hurting local wildlife (especially the sea turtles), he decided to take action.

On the local website Hoboken Patch, he’s asking for people to donate hair to aid in the cleanup efforts. It could be your hair or your pet’s hair. He’s partnered with a local dog groomer, but the Gulf Coast can use all the help it can get.

There is something we can all do to help: donate your hair to help clean the oil spill. Human and animal hair of any length can be used by the organization Matter of Trust to make a special kind of mat that absorbs the oil.

To help, go to Hoboken Patch for more details.
