Lips Reading at Sinatra Park

A series of original one-act play readings by, for and about women.


Friday August 13, 2010: Come out for this free event on the Hudson called ‘Lips Reading’. It’s a series presented by the group _gaia. They are a collective of women artist, writers, filmmakers, actors and more who create theatrical events to shine a light on all sorts of causes. Political, social, artistic.

The ‘Lips Reading’ series presents one-act play readings by, for and about women. It is directed by Lillian Ribeiro and Kathy Stout and features the talents of Katherine Damigos, Jennifer Domani, Eileen Gaughan, Justin Helmley, Alice Hermida, Angela Kariotis, Julia Lomba, Lillian Ribeiro, Dan Schock and Kathy Stout.

Come on out and enjoy a night by the Hudson River with some very talented folks.

“Laying Off” by James McLindon, Directed by Kathy Stout
When Meddie’s layoff recommendations to her CEO come due, she can save her own job, her mentor’s job … or her soul.

“Friendsters” by Nicole Greevy, Uma Incrocci, Erica Jensen, directed by Lillian Ribeiro
