Adobe’s simple, free way to edit photos anywhere.

I installed the free iPhone app from Photoshop. Now I can edit photos right on my iPhone. Happy! Joy! Flip, crop, rotate, brighten, darken, etc. It’s limited-but-fun array of effects are controlled by sliding my finger across the screen.

While no one could (or should) expect it to come anywhere near the complexity of the desktop version, this little ditty is still pretty cool. The Warholian masterpiece below was created by messing around a bit with the Saturation, Pop and Sketch effects. These and the rest can be undone at anytime before saving.

Once you’re done, you can save it back to your phone and/or upload your image directly from your iPhone to a free Photoshop.com account where you have 2gb of storage space and a few more advanced editing tools. I’m not thrilled with the Flash interface. It’s a little clunky (like most Flash-based sites).

Now don’t fret if you’re iPhone deprived, you can upload any photo you want via the web, once you’ve set up the account so Plus, you get a personalized URL to share your images with the world. Mine is sbcea.photoshop.com
