Gibson introduces The Robot Guitar … it tunes itself!
Have you seen this? I haven’t gotten to play one yet so I can’t vouch for how well (or even if) it works. Still, this is some freaky Borg-like shit. The guitar can tune itself. You strum and the pegs turn. Think of the possibilities.
No more having to put your drink down between songs when a string or two goes astray. No more of that annoying silence (if you have a tuner) or that annoying dissonant warbling (if you don’t) on stage.
The promo video doesn’t properly portray the excitement of this innovation. In fact, the delivery is kinda flat (pun very much intended). Still it’s pretty cool to see this thing in action. Now where’s the guitar that can play itself!
