More About WE Fest
WE Fest is a multi-day, totally DIY, volunteer-run extravaganza that always takes place during the week of Memorial Day Weekend. The first WE Fest was held in 1996. Since then indie bands of all shapes, sizes, colors and sounds have played, made friends. They've kept in touch over the years and made WE Fest part of their lives.
Past participants have included The Dismemberment Plan, Dufus, the Mooney Suzuki, xbxrx, Lamb of God, Discount, Mae, Frank Moore, Val Emmich, LandSpeedRecord, ASG, the Negatones, Tris McCall, the Milwaukees, the Waking Hours, Ya-Ne-Zniyoo and many, many more.
Only indie-label and unsigned bands can play WE Fest. No major acts are allowed. This year they are proud to get back to their original roots by also featuring films, zines, comics and other DIY art projects. The cost of admission is just $1 per night!!
