Kim Ware runs Eskimo Kiss Records out of Atlanta and heads up the annual music fest ‘Other Sound. I met her many moons ago in Wilmington, NC when she was the drummer for the band Pacer. She has since gone on to drive the beat for many a southern indie rocker — including underground legends Tex Svengali.

‘Sunset Over Saxapahaw’ is Kim’s first full-on foray into the realm of guitar-slinging singer/songwriter. And it’s a damned good one. Armed with a flea-market guitar and a keen creative mind, she delivers a trippy and touching breakup soundtrack. This track ‘Promise I Can’t Keep’ aptly sets the tone for the rest of the album.
