The similarities are uncanny … and kinda scary!
Fans of the show Futurama may be familiar with the methods used by Zapp Brannigan of d.o.o.p. (Democratic Order of Planets founded in 2945 whose headquarters were moved to Weehawken, New New Jersey, after a brief stint in a space station orbiting the Neutral Planet) to handle the Series Seven Killbots.
You see, there was a flaw in the software of the Series Seven Killbots (the terrorists of the future). It only allowed for a limited number of kills before the units shut down. So Brannigan sent wave after wave of his men into battle (and to their deaths) until that threshold was met. Then he went in to claim victory. Sounds an awful lot like Bush’s strategies (or lack thereof) in Iraq.
