What better way is there to point out just how off course we’ve gotten as a nation than by lampooning all of these recent marches on Washington?
On October 30, 2010 we as proud Americans have a choice to make. On which side of the mall will we march? On one side we have John Stewart’s cries for sanity. A rallying of the levelheaded who don’t feel the need to scream and yell and make buffoons of themselves and their loved ones on the evening news.
And on the other side we have Stephen Colbert’s visceral tactics. Pleading to the patriots to not allow America’s fear to be taken away. Fear is the very thing that keeps us alive in desperate situations. Reason only gets in the way. It’s time to get out of fear’s way.
Which side are you on? Where will you stand on October 30, 2010?
