Poetry:
Up a tree. Watch and wait. Two peas in a pod. Water under the bridge.
Your all washed up. Where man is not nature is barren. The sun will
shine into our yard to. You say potayto, I say potahto. She has a green
thumb. Stand your ground. To gild refined gold, to paint the lily.
There’s no time like the present. Put to bed with a shovel. There may be
snow on the roof, but there’s fire in the belly. Water it down. Some
like carrots others like cabbage. Sour as a green apple.
Wet behind the ears. Which came first, the chicken or the egg. Thick as
a brick. A thing of beauty is a joy forever. A snail’s pace. Sweet
as apple pie. Take time to smell the roses. Sick as a dog. Red as a
beet. Salt of the Earth. You throw filth on the living and flowers on
the dead.Pin a rose on your nose. A stick in the mud. Sturdy as an
oak. Sick as a dog. Stubborn as a mule. Strong as an ox. When pigs fly.
