After leaving publishing to run a cafe and leaving the cafe to save my life, I’ve decided to dive back into writing again. I used to be good at this, but that was nearly 15 years ago now. If you look at my website, you’ll see great gaps in time between posts, recycled archival material and broken links.
So I have some soul searching to do and plenty of content to create. Please bear with me as I rediscover who I am and what it is I want to say.
If you’re unfamiliar with it, Substack is a platform that allows content creators to publish directly to their subscribers using a newsletter format, bypassing other media channels and their aggravating use of algorithms to target audiences. On this platform, content goes directly to subscribers in the form of an email newsletter.
Aside from free newsletter subscriptions, it also provides a paid platform in which creators can offer premium content. Admittedly, I’m not ready to offer premiums, but I will someday soon. In the meantime, go subscribe for free. Get to know me. Hopefully, I’ll get to know you as well.
