Wow! I can't believe how long it's been since my last update. Tons of things to catch up on. From a drunken parade to Zombie Jesus. From cooties to hookers. From chunks of goat to plenty of nights out. So, let's get on with it…

Happy Zombie Jesus Day
As he rises from the dead (yet again), we celebrate cautiously. We must be certain we have what it takes to appease his hunger for chocolate bunnies and flavored jellybeans. Have we stocked up enough peeps?

Cooties: A Public Service Announcement
Speak to your kids about cooties, before cooties speaks to them first. What are you doing to prevent this epidemic that effects all children? Do you even know how to administer the vaccine?

'The Dangerous Winter' by Blake Rainey
Featured Song. I'm always impressed by the fine, country-tinged storytelling of Atlanta's Blake Rainey and his subtle style in conveying complicated, deep emotions.

PS 450
Avoiding the usual trappings of St. Patrick's Day. The usual rule for me is to avoid bars with Irish names on St. Patrick's Day. The reasons are fairly obvious. Tons of amateurs, cover charges, etc.

Not Really Lost, but Very Confused
Where the hell am I and how did I get here?About an hour into the drive I see a strange bridge before me. The radio is still struggling to deliver the U2 marathon on Q-104.3…

Hometown Pride
Spitzer finally stepping down was only part of the story (for me)My high school town can add a new claim to fame along with being the setting for such films as 'Big' and 'Cop Land'…

Coffee Shop Bar
Models, drinks, seasoned fries and a movie. Since everyone already knows how good it is, this is not a review of the movie Juno. Instead it's more about my dinner before hand.

Comfort Food at Buskers
Only the slightest hint of daring for me tonight. It was my turn to choose the eatery and my entrée would be a sleep-inducing concoction of cheesy, potatoey, buttery goodness

'125eb 2071210' by Protman
Featured Song. With cryptic titles such as '125eb 2071210', tracks are a brilliant mesh of dance-able, trance-able organized chaos.

Earning My Mistrust
I never trusted Eliot Spitzer, I just never knew why … until now. During his run for governor–with those sappy ads–I felt in my gut that this guy was overcompensating and likely hiding something. But what?

Curbing the Effects of Global Warming?
It seems Representative Albio Sires (D-NJ) doesn't have a clue. I have no problem with him spreading the word of his intentions, but he needs to understand the world he is supposedly working to protect.

Getting My Goat
When a menu described a dish as 'Chunks of Goat', I had to try it. This was another successful foray into new tastes for me. Despite the waitress's claims that this was 'medium' spicy, my furnace was churning.

'Screen to Screen' by Dive Index
Featured Song. A kaleidescope of textures, modern electronica and traditional flavors coalesce into a truly original musical stew.

It Happened One Parade Weekend
Good times, bad times … you know I've had my share. I awoke today, head pounding, a string of green plastic beads on the floor, a phone reeking of booze and blurry details getting clearer.

Hoboken Parade Day 2008 - Gallery
By far the best part of a very interesting weekend. Photos of my friends Mary, Adriane, her cute dog Madia and (of course) the parade. I would not trade that part of my weekend for anything.

Hoboken/NYC Area Events
Check out my 'Upcoming' Group on Yahoo for … um … upcoming events (duh!). Do you have events you'd like to promote? Sign up and a here.

Cheers,
Stephen
