First update for 2010
Hey all,
Here's my first update for Twenty Ten. I hope you had a great ushering in of the new year. Mine was very symbolic of the changes to come. More on that in the next few weeks. For now, on with the update that includes a call out for bands to donate songs for a good cause.
Music for a Cause:
- Songs Needed for Benefit Album
Help a fellow musician fight cancer. Shayne O'Neill of the band Future Kings Of Nowhere was recently diagnosed with stage IV lymphoma
Goodbye 2009:
- Oh Christmas Tree
Why I avoid Rockefeller Center each year. Flashing, climbing up and up. My head dizzy with trying to focus. Stop! I'm not supposed to like this.
- Christened with Champagne (Literally)
What better symbolism for welcoming a new year? A quiet, local celebration turns into an eruption of sticky carbonation and dripping symbolism.
Photo Galleries:
Rockefeller Center – Gallery
Photos from a night out with the family. If not for my camera and my family, I'd have gone mad!
- New Year's Eve 2009 – Gallery
A mellow gathering in Hoboken. Musicians and a big TV. Finger foods and a sausage tree. Whiskey and champagne.
Spam Poetry:
- hello and smiles, dear
The Spam Poetry Project. This is more of a love letter than poem, but the sheer corniness (and botched grammar) is quite poetic.
- What is Spam Poetry?
It's not an homage to cans of mystery meat. It's those wonderfully beat sounding words that can be found hidden in useless email messages.
