Before I list out all of the winners, I have to give props to Dave Entwistle. While it’s true that without him there would be no Hoboken Music Awards, it is equally true that without him, there would be no Hoboken Music scene as we know it.
Yet, being the mastermind behind this first installment of the Hoboken Music Awards, Dave himself was not a nominee.
Dave Entwistle
I find this to be totally unacceptable and I think Dave should have a long talk with himself about the egregious oversight in the nomination process. In the meantime, here are the winners from this fun night where folks of all sorts got together to celebrate the talent from Hoboken and its surrounding area.
Ceremonies were at The Goldhawk (936 Park Ave, Hoboken). The bar and it’s owner Fran Azzarto won a special achievement award. So packed was the room, there was talk of needing a larger venue next year. If need be I guess we won’t have a choice, but it would be strange to not do it here. After all, this is ground zero for the original music scene in Hoboken.
Each winner received a very cool microphone statuette.
