‘Oh, Honey Isn’t It A Shame Now’ by Emi Grace
I’ve been a fan of Emi Grace for a while now. What first caught my attention was her weekly social posts known as Trashy Tone Thursday. Short videos of her shredding some absolutely gnarly riffs. A dirty, nasty, and wicked sound that really appeals to me. Blending distorted dissonance and a very skillful command of the fretboard, Emi is really making a name for herself.

The songs on Emi’s debut E.P. ‘Oh, Honey Isn’t It A Shame Now’ are a high-energy fusion of sonic exploration. Raw and chaotic. Like a train running off the tracks but somehow under control. You’ll get to your destination but you may have a black eye when you arrive. This is the new generation of punk anarchy and rock rebellion. Solid, catchy, and well performed.
Check out this absolute scorcher of a live performance of Emi and her band from ‘Jam in the Van’ (April 14, 2025). Jam in the Van is a solar powered mobile recording studio that captures and streams live music and comedy performances. Yes, it’s an actual van. A very big van but . . . still.
‘Oh, Honey Isn’t It A Shame Now’ is an impressive debut. I look forward to hearing more from Emi Grace.
