Host Dave Entwistle asked me not to write about this hoping not to encourage his wife to go off and be a star on her own. But I could not resist.
So, this guy Rob—a fantastic guitar player who I’d seen here many times—and a girl named Andrea got up and did a beautiful duet. After, they asked Dave’s wife Hillary to join them. I had seen Hillary sing before and she always impresses.
But when they broke into this surreal yet powerful version of ‘Stop in the Name of Love’, the earth shattered where I sat and gave me chills on the back of my neck. Hillary and Andrea’s voices blended amazingly over Rob’s impeccable guitar.
I don’t know if they plan to do this again, but I sure hope they do. Sorry Dave.
