In a world flooded with noise and surface images,
clâm embraces the artist’s duty to restore vision.Love. Dance. Wake up.
Based in Frankfurt Germany, clâm are a multinational band of like minded musicians. Their song ‘Levee Lament’ really caught my attention with its psychedelic ambience and spacey heaviness. Deep bass, trippy fuzz guitar, emotive vocals, and solid drums come together on this warm wave of sound that washes over the listener. The music blends many influences into a new sound. Reminiscent yet original. Dark yet inviting. Carrying an important message — or rather a warning — along the way.
‘Levee Lament’ explores issues of climate change and the pressures it brings on both nature and the humans that live within it. The burning question of ‘will the levee hold’ can also be applied to the social pressures we are currently facing. The song will be featured on the band’s debut album, set to be released in March 2026. If you preorder the album on Bandcamp, you’ll get two tracks to stream in advance, then the complete album when it is released.
I’m eager to hear the rest of the album.
