Live at Love Sexy
Chasing Sunday is a troupe of musicians that creates some fine tunes bouncing around Latin tinged blues and jazzy prog jams. Unfortunately for them, Love Sexy is a venue geared more towards loud, dirty, in your face garage rock.
Each conga slap, each smooth lyrical line, each Brand X inspired breakdown was overshadowed by ear piecing feedback. One could see the sound man struggling to comprehend the situation. After all, their ain’t no bongos in punk!
I was lucky enough to take home their CD and audition their sound in a more controlled environment. They have new material that will be released soon that I look forward to hearing as well. For now I plan on catching them at a venue better suited to their character. I recommend that you do the same. Too bad Wetlands is gone.
