Battle of the Bands Finals Whiskey Bar , Hoboken NJ
Take a little 80’s metal, a little prog rock, some punk and mix well with soulfully tormented blues. Place in the oven of the NJ club circuit at 350° for a period of time and you’ve baked a cake called Soulfist.
Usually a telltale sign that a project is nearing the end of its run is when their gigs start coming fewer and farther between. This night at the Whiskey Bar Battle of the Bands in Hoboken would prove to be their finale.

It’s a shame too because lately a more raw energy had added a harsh new dimension to their well-written, well-performed songs.
Still, they put on a great show and that was that. So, I wish them luck in their new projects and hope we can still toss back a few cheap beers at the Wilton House from time to time.
