Draped in red light, standing alone on a stage and sending chills thru the room. That was the first time I heard the multi-talented Fionn O Lochlainn perform his moving, a cappella version of ‘War Pigs’ at Joe’s Pub in NYC on December 13, 2006. I’ve been a fan ever since.
It also appears on his brilliant release ‘Spawn of the Beast’. As for the rest of the CD, Fionn combines the traditional with the ethereal. His songs are beautifully written and delivered thru a haunting vocal range and intricate guitar work.
If you are in Hoboken on January 3, 2007, stop by The Goldhawk (936 Park Ave) for The Writer’s Hang. Fionn will be joining host & musician Scott E. Moore and singer/songwriter Milton. They’ll be trading songs & stories from 8:30 to 11:00.

Oh wow. Nice catch James. Actually that was the correct URL for Fionn at the time. According to Fionn, fionnolochlainn.com was purchased and corrupted by a company that he has absolutely no association with. I’ve now changed it in the article to the new one: olochlainn.com
