Tomorrow’s June CD Release Party

Raunchy blues, hippie folk, Celtic ukulele, rock n roll and a circus clown making balloon things. These are the ingredients for a fun celebration.

Tonight we were all at Maxwell’s (1039 Washington St, Hoboken) to celebrate the latest musical endeavor by The Fave. A wonderful collection of songs, the music on ‘Tomorrow’s June’ also makes for a great show.

Joining The Fave were the raunchy, raw blues rock of Tall Days, the hippie folk grooviness–complete with double bass, cello and violin–of Waking Lights and the always joyous ukulele spiked Celtic rock of Lloyd United. Closing the night was DJ Mike Fresh, but by then, my beer intake took priority over paying attention.

All thru the party was a circus theme, including a clown making balloon hearts, flowers and alien creatures. Soon folks were walking around, feeling merry and wearing these inflatable accessories on their heads. Definitely a fun night.
