The energy that night at Maxwell’s captured in these amazing lo-fi videos is off the charts. They show a bunch of kids who in just a couple of years would take over the world as well as a legendary venue at the peak of Hoboken’s rock scene.

At the time, in addition to Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic, the band’s lineup consisted of Chad Channing on drums and Jason Everman on guitar. They were touring in support of the album ‘Bleach’, which had been released on Sub Pop about a month earlier.
