Have You Ever Been Experienced?

As Clinton’s veneer loses its sheen, we need to know…

The question remains, what is this woman’s experience that makes her the best candidate? After all this time, no one has been able to tell me.

As Clinton’s veneer loses its sheen, we need to know…

Some Clinton supporters get mad at me for always questioning Hillary’s so-called ‘experience’. They keep saying that soon her experience will become known. Instead, over the past several weeks the exact opposite’s been happening.

Many of her claims of why she was the right man … er… person for the job have been revealed for the untruths that they are. And this exposure has not come from rival candidates, but from the actual folks that she’d supposedly helped.

When Nobel Peace Prize winners John Hume and David Trimble–ya know, the guys who actually worked to bring peace Northern Ireland–said that Clinton’s involvement was peripheral at best, I laughed. She’d been touting her key role in that process for months. When military leaders and the people of Bosnia slammed her for telling that blatantly untrue sniper fire fairytale, I did a little dance. Especially considering that the trip in questions was preserved on video for all to not hear the mysterious gun fire.

The list even includes how her role in fighting for children’s health care was not as significant as her campaign has made it seem. That one even surprised me. But I think my favorite point in this whole fandango was that, as First Lady, she never had any security clearance whatsoever. So she wasn’t even allowed into the rooms where most of the juiciest of foreign policy negotiations took place.

So the question remains, what is this woman’s experience that makes her the best candidate? And please don’t keep saying it was that she was the first person Bill talked to during his presidency, because there are holes in that theory too. After all, he was having numerous affairs and secret trysts in the Oval Office that I doubt he ever revealed to her. So I’m sure there were moments of high-level negotiations of world security for which maybe, just maybe, he did not seek out her advice.

As the veneer cracks, it becomes clear that Clinton’s versions of the ‘truth’ are nothing more than some old-school political tactics to get votes. I’m not saying she’s the only one. God knows they all do it. But I’m just so sick of her being held on such a pedestal of leadership and experience when she has no more or less of those credentials than Obama.

And still–after all this time–no one has been able to show me otherwise.
