(kåg·er·ō)
1. n. heat haze; shimmering of hot air; mirage (from the Japanese).
2. n. four musicians in a multi-culti, urban-gypsyphonic, border-jumping feel-good progressive nomadic world rock band (based in NYC).

Redefining the term ‘world music’, Kagero has influences that literally span the globe. With members hailing from Japan, Bulgaria and NYC, their diversity is blended into a very distinctive Gypsy feel.

It’s that kind of smart, energetic fusion I seek out in bands. A skewed view of cultures, weaved in a way that results in something wholly new. ‘Red & Black’ is a song that showcases Kagero’s unique sonic and lyrical recipe.
