The glorious aftermath of a feeding frenzy
Our group squeezed into a long corner table at Village Yokocho (8 Stuyvesant St, NYC) and proceeded to make a glorious mess of the night. There were skewers of this and that being passed around and lots of hot saki. After a while, much of what was being passed was being spilled.
It was a deliciously fun night. Amazingly, even after seeing this aftermath, our waitress was still smiling at us as we left. Of course that could have been an expression of relief on her part, but I prefer to think of it as friendliness.
