100 Ways to Save The Environment

It’s easier than you might think…

The other day, Lazlo of BlowUpRadio.com pointed out a couple of beefs he had with Live Earth. First, it seems Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias can be counted among the celebrities that didn’t get what the day was all about as he strutted around in his NASCAR t-shirt. NASCAR openly—and somewhat proudly—admits to their obscene fuel consumption.

Read more (or listen to the podcast) about this and other beefs Lazlo has on Pissed Off page over at his website. Beefs including use of stage lighting in the middle of what was a very sunny afternoon. And the fact that all but a select few performers, guests and broadcasters kept insisting that the concert was in New York and not New Jersey.

More than just angry ranting, Lazlo also included a link to a very cool web page called ‘100 Ways to Save The Environment’ by a group called SEQL (Sustainable Environment for Quality of Life) out of Charlotte, NC. Even though their work is concentrated in 15-county metropolitan Charlotte region in North and South Carolina, their message is universal.

They offer simple solutions to all of you who think this problem is just too big for any one person to make a difference. But the truth is that every little bit really does help. It’s an old cliché I know and a message that may have been lost lately in the mass-media juggernaut that has been bouncing around with threats of Armageddon. And while the danger is that big, the answers are much smaller.
