During a very sad period of time for the members of Prosolar Mechanics, which included sickness and loss, they turned to music for guidance. Under a lamenting guitar that gets uncomfortably close to resolution before pulling away, there is an array of hisses, squeals, groans and static swirling in the background.

The song conjures up a dream state that is both bathed in warm comfort and teased by unnerving anxiety. For Amy, Alex and Mike this was the best way to describe what they were feeling. There are no words spoken and none are needed throughout and as a lone, high pitched tone pulses and fades off at the end.

To sum up what life had served to them, Alex spoke of the conception of this song on their website. “This is not an easy one, though it came easy. Amy played guitar. Mike and I played amplifiers. My father was lying in bed, dying of lung cancer.”

Amy added, “We found ourselves some brand of wordless in a time when we were slipping on the edge of hope and were quite conscious of death.”
