Classic interview envisioned as animation

In 1969, when John Lennon and Yoko Ono were staging their infamous bed ins for peace, a 14-year-old fan named Jerry Levitan, cleverly scammed his way into the Toronto hotel. Armed with a reel-to-reel tape deck, the boy convinced John to do an interview about peace. 38 years later, Jerry produced a film about it.

Director Josh Raskin has created a unique visual piece which intimately combines the original interview recording with the genius pen work of James Braithwaite and masterful digital illustrations of Alex Kurina. The result is a perfectly composed, new vehicle for Lennon’s wit and timeless message.
