Apple's hype can't cover up a stupid name
Today's announcement of the new Apple tablet was hugely anticipated by tech-hungry geeks all over. Including me.
Watching the live blogs and chatting with friends, it seemed a lot of thought went into this thing except in one crucial area. The name.
iPad? Really? Couldn't they see the jokes coming? MADtv saw them several years ago. Thanks to my buddy Joe Condiracci for reminding me.
And thank you MADtv for somehow seeing into the future and proving that this really is a stupid name for a potentially cool product.
