MurphGuide 2008 Summer Cruise

It’s that time of year again…

Rocking to and fro, around New York Harbor with friends old and new. This is something I look forward to every summer. For some, this is like Labor Day in that it signifies the end of summer. For me, it signifies the coming of Autumn–my favorite time of year.

Like years past, I met some fantastic people aboard our host ship “The Temptress”. Laughed, drank, ate and danced (well more like attempted to stay upright with rhythm). The weather this year was amazing so we spent most of our time out on the decks, swaying, trying to get a clear photo of the Statue of Liberty.

Once back on solid ground, we ended our night with the traditional MurphGuide After Party. This year it was at P.D. O’Hurley’s at Pier 84 (557 12th Ave, NYC). With it’s modern decor, metal seats, a large fountain, music and trees blowing in the river breeze, a few of us commented, “When the hell did we get to Miami?” It certainly didn’t feel like NYC anymore and was a perfect way to end the night.
