I over heard someone say this was the best restaurant in town. I can’t say for sure, not having eaten at all of the other places.

The wait for dinner was over an hour at most places tonight. Ninety minutes at some. I normally don’t stand for long waits. Mostly because, in NYC you have plenty of choices and long waits are uncalled for. But here, in this burgeoning seaside town, if you want to remain on the boardwalk, waiting is a necessary evil. What was odd about this situation was the wait for a table inside the loud, dark restaurant was more than the wait for a table in the quaint, open-air, outside area.

As we waited, it was brought to our attention that Richard Thomas — who played john Boy on The Waltons — was sitting in the outside seating area. A woman was very star struck and kinda rude, interrupting his dinner with his family to ask for an autograph. He was gracious. My claim to fame? I sat in John Boy’s chair. He had already left of course. Otherwise that would have been awkward.

The food here was exquisite. High end Italian fare and affordable too. I over heard someone say this was the best restaurant in town. I can’t say for sure, not having eaten at all of the other places. However, I have to say from my experience here, it was not an unreasonable statement.
