I’ve Gone Shirley Temple Black for SOPA/PIPA

I’m not big like Wikipedia where I can actually take down my site for a day, but I still wanted to voice my opinion on SOPA/PIPA.

DISCLAIMER: The lovely and talented Ms. Shirley Temple Black is in no way involved with Internet Piracy or Censorship (at least not that I know of).

As a creative type, I wanted to join the fray of protestors, even though I can’t really afford to take down any of my sites for a day. I ain’t got that there Wikipedia money. Wait. What? Yeah, yeah … nonprofit. OK, so I’m not nonprofit. I just barely make any profit.

Anyway …

Yes, piracy sucks. And those of us who have at one time or another depended on the money that comes from our words or music or images can attest to just how much piracy can suck. However, the answer isn’t some heavy-handed Government sponsored, overly-generalized bill that amounts to widespread censorship.

Congress needs to get back to figuring out how to put Americans to work and not worry so much about Internet Censorship. If you agree with me, then let your representatives know that both SOPA and PIPA are bad ideas.
