A pleasant discovery while perusing a friend’s blog

As most of you know, over the past couple of months I’ve been planning regular happy hours with my friends Amanda, Jennifer and Holly (aka The Lost Girls). At each of these shindigs, we smile and cameras flash. One of Holly’s side projects is a photoblog called WatchMeTurn30.com where she documents her days and nights leading up to her 30th birthday.

Often after one of these nights is over, Holly and I would be dumbfounded to see that any photos of us would be gone. I likened it to the ‘guitar pick syndrome’. Guitarists can attest to this. If you drop a white pick on a black floor, it will still somehow disappear. Or it’s similar to that one rogue sock that always goes missing in the laundry. Apparently I am that sock.

Even with the total lack of me, I thoroughly enjoy reading Holly’s blog. And of course I’ll check from time to time for any of those lost photos. Low and behold as I checked tonight, there I am … twice! Very exciting. The first is at the Russian Samovar during a night of fun and infused vodka. The next is at The Ginger Man as we all celebrated Amanda’s sister Jennifer’s birthday.
