This one comes from Melbourne outside of Flinders Street Station. It’s a guy in a chicken suit playing “What is Love” on Pianica and bass.
He is accompanying himself, using a pedal to build loops as he goes along. I found two things amazing about this. Well, three actually.
First, there seems to be a plethora of wacky and talented performers all over the streets Australia. Second, many folks seem to be oblivious to this occurrence. And third, how does he control that pedal with those big chicken feet?
From what I could gather by perusing the interwebs, the guy in the chicken suit is Australian musician James Bowers.
Someone mentioned his name in a comment on synthtube.com (another comment is seriously adamant about him playing a Melodica and not a Pianica). And there is also a photo of Bowers in a chicken suit on his myspace page with a caption that says, “Just enjoying a pint after work.”
Well now, who could argue with such ironclad proof?
