Making excuses for Government johns
What could be worse than government officials buying sex? All of the talking heads on Fox News trying to justify the placement of certain names on that tell-tale list by the alleged DC Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey. My favorite excuse came from Steve Doocy on Fox & Friends who posed the theory that maybe someone was dialing a number and accidentally hit the wrong buttons and suddenly they were on the list.
No really?! Are you serious!? OK people now this has got to be the most asinine thing I’ve ever heard. Can we please stop making excuses for our politicians when they (literally) screw up? Bottom line is, these guys called hookers. They are paid by us and therefore so were the hookers. So this is more than just an issue of legality, it’s an issue of trust.
Of course all of these Fox folks will pile on the back of any single Democrat who commits any indiscretion. But somehow Republicans breaking actual laws are excused. I am so sick of this crap. Maybe we’d finally have an honest governing body once anyone and everyone is held accountable for their actions. Not this current climate of one side’s sins are somehow more critical than the other.
I know this type of blame game thing comes from both directions and from all parties, but this latest infraction by Fox is just so ludicrous it’s almost impossible to stomach.
