Name change (again) … Yes I decided that the original name of Thirty Day Reverse Bender, which sounded clever at first, simply did not capture the nature of what this truly is. A reverse bender would be the opposite of a bender or … more literally … A bender is pouring drinks down your throat. So a reverse bender would be … you get the picture.
Thirty Day Sobriety Challenge fits better because that’s exactly what this is. Sure it’s a way to get healthy and all that crap, but it is a challenge, a test of my will and discipline. New name, same concept.
My friend asked today if after this I will be reverting back to my old lushful ways. I have been joking that I’ll be partying big time on November 9th. Seriously though the idea is if I make it thru this, then I have the will-power needed to keep my inebriated indulgences in check. Truth be known, the reason why I do this is because I am able to stay focused and restrained for a while, then it gets outta hand again. So the short answer is no with a but.
