Watch as my life spirals into control
I’ve already started planning for Day Thirty One and beyond but something happened today that always makes me laugh. Even though I intend to take a fair share of control over my life and not fall back into my old ways, I have a soft spot for the Joe Hurley song ‘Shut Up and Drink’ with lyrics like:
Fuck everything
Shut up and drink
I don’t wanna hear your shit tonight
I don’t wanna think
But here’s what made me laugh today and could possibly be construed as a signed. This NYC Irish Pub standard has the strange ability to promote itself to the status of default song whenever I make changes on my MP3 player.
If I ever add or subtract songs, when I turn it back on and hit play, it plays ‘Shut Up and Drink’. It never fails. What makes this stranger is that it has done this on three different players over the past year.
OOOOO … spooky, no?
