[ About the Theme and Plugins Used ]
I designed this site several years ago, looking for a way to create an online magazine of sorts. One thing I've always hated about 'blog' sites was how the designs seem to start off clean enough, but then spiral into a void of sloppy sidebars and unpredictably long posts on the homepage. Since I started this site long before it was using 'blogging' technology, I made a conscious effort to maintain it's layout once I moved to WordPress.
The theme used for my site is an altered version of one called RockinMinimal 3 Col 1 by Cory Miller at RockinThemes.com. This site has a nice array of themes to choose from. They're simple, clean and easily customizable. Which is why I'm using this one. Below are screen shots of the original theme and my altered version. In addition to the free WordPress themes, they also offer blog design services if you should need someone to actually design, customize and/or build your blog for you.

There is always the chance that I will change the design as I go. I've already begun looking into ways to create the true 'webzine' look that I always wanted. For now this theme is working just fine.
