My recent trip exposed me to the diverse talent coming out of Atlanta. Tenth to the Moon combines vintage sounds with avant garde insanity and a fair amount of theatrics to create something enticing, disturbing and altogether unique. I got to see them at 11:11 Teahouse in Atlanta on my birthday, which was during The Other Sound festival.
The antics of frontman Mitchell Foy made for some very interesting photo ops. I was thrilled when the band used a couple of the shots from that night on their MySpace page. Of course Mitchell did stain one of my tee shirts with red paint, so they kinda owed me that much.
