Gibbypalooza 2009 is Coming!

Once again I’m your master of ceremonies

I’m so psyched about this. It’s become the most rockin’ party in Hoboken since moving here from CBGB a few of years ago. Tons of bands, two stages and plenty of liquid fun. All to celebrate the birth of one of the local scenes most important figures.

One day, not long ago, I decided to walk in a very zig-zaggish way from the train station to my home. I had no planned course. I was just turning turn here or there as the whim struck me. It’s a way for me to fight boredom. Never under estimate the power of fate my friends.

In doing so, I happened to run into my friend, birthday boy and international man of metal Chris “Gibby” Gibson of High Speed Chase and Upstart Studios just as he was leaving his studio. We began chatting about this year’s party. Gibby’s highly contagious excitement spilled over on to me and, the next thing I knew … I was hosting. So cool. I did it back in 2007 and had a blast.
