Watch as my life spirals into control
With sobriety comes clarity. Of course it took me until Day 28 to realize this but … I miscalculated my challenge. Ya see, I figured Thirty Days out to be One Month (10/9 – 11/8). Sounds logical, right? However, October being a long month means it actually adds up to Thirty One Days!
When I discovered this I had a decision to make. Should I move my Day 31 celebration up to 11/8 and end my challenge on 11/7 or simply tack on the extra day? I decided to tack on the extra day since, in my head I was looking at 11/8 as the last day all along. Now I will refer to it as a ‘Bonus Day’ leaving 11/9 as the ‘Celebration Day’ (to quote Led Zeppelin).
Now I’m off to buy clothes with all of this unspent booze money. OK well, not all of it.
