This is a fairly recent discovery for me. I had never heard anything from Charlotte Gainsbourg before last week. Then a friend of mine sent me this video. Wait, Beck’s last name is Hansen?
The song is filled with Beck’s influence in its surreal melodic/rhythmic arrangement. So is the video for that matter. But could that just be due to the artists being similar? Is she a prodigy or a parody? I’ll need seek out more of Gainsbourg. My curiosity has been sufficiently piqued at this point.
