It’s no secret that I’m not a fan of commercial hip hop. Guys like Jay Z and P. Diddy (Puff, Puffy or whatever) have diluted the market with mediocre, repetitive filler. However, I do have a lot of respect for skilled DJs.
Kid Koala, DJ Z-Trip and others prove that, in the right hands, turntables can be musical instruments. They do more than just roll stock beats under lame rhymes.
Now we have this new cat coming onto the scene and … wait … that’s not a cat!
